TUNEUP: BOOTCAMP

Designed for use by more accomplished High School, College, Semi-Pro and Professional ensembles, the TUNEUP: BOOTCAMP System provides the ensemble with the conditions necessary to build beautiful, powerful ensembles.

TUNEUP: BOOTCAMP provides the director with an efficient, highly effective daily warm-up to be played with the TUNEUP: BASIC TRAINING Audio CD. Whether in full ensemble, sectionals or chamber groups, BOOTCAMP binds players possessing skills learned in BASIC TRAINING into polished performers.

The BOOTCAMP Data CD provides the director with the Major and Minor Interval Study from BASIC TRAINING in a printable format transposed for each instrument. The director begins each rehearsal with the Interval Study Chorale, assigning different voices to different sections, varying instrumentation daily. In one rehearsal, the Thirds of the chord will be assigned to the horns and the Root to the Bassoons. The next day, the clarinets will tackle Thirds while the trombones handle the Fifths. Or work within the section with first chair playing the Thirds, second playing the Fifths, third playing the Seconds and Sevenths and fourth playing the Root. Each part contains every line, so great flexibility is provided.

In a given rehearsal, each player will assume responsibility for various chord members in various octaves, learning to balance chords, blend with different timbres and tune perfectly. With BOOTCAMP a player can move from wind quintet to Wind Ensemble to full orchestra with ease.

TUNEUP: BOOTCAMP is merciless where poor pitch is concerned. Intonation is an individual skill. When players hone their skills to the level TUNEUP teaches, those who struggle are more easily exposed, allowing the private teacher to opportunity to work with them individually.
